Adding/Editing Formulas
Formula detail information includes calorie and protein delivery information as well as details regarding other nutrients. The formula database also contains information about which conditions the formulas are designed to treat.

The formula data that may be maintained by the user includes that which is necessary for the calculation of the calorie, free water and protein delivery for the patient and includes many other nutrients that the health care provider may be interested in.

The main formula edit screen allows users to update the formula information for the selected product. The more button will take you to more formula information. You may choose to delete a formula if you are editing an existing formula here. Pressing save will save changes made to the formula database. Pressing cancel will return you to the formula list screen.

The main edit formula screen contains the following editable fields:

  • Name – Formula name.

  • Description – A description of the formula.

    •  
  • Calories/cc – Calories per cc delivered by this formula product.

    •  
  • Grams Protein/Liter – Protein in grams provided by a liter of this formula product.
     
  • mOsm/Kg – Formula osmolality.

    •  
  • Indication Flags – User selectable flags that indicate how this formula should be grouped with other formulas for the same indications.
