Installing EnteralCalc
Installation instructions for Palm OS devices are included in the following sections. After installation is complete you will need to enter your registration key code into the registration popup window which displays when EnteralCalc is opened. If a registration screen is not presented when EnteralCalc is opened on the PDA you are already registered.
Installation from CD-ROM on PC
- Review the systems requirements and ensure that your systems meet or exceed the minimums detailed there.
- Place your PDA in the HotSync cradle.
- Insert the EnteralCalc CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your PC.
- Placing the EnteralCalc CD in your CD-ROM drive should automatically start the installation program. If the installation program does not start automatically you may use the Windows Explorer to navigate to your CD drive and run the setup program manually.
- The setup program will prompt you to accept the license agreement. Please read this license agreement thoroughly. If you choose not to accept this license agreement you must not install the software.
- You will be prompted with all users configured to use HotSync on your computer. You may select the HotSync users to which you wish to install the EnteralCalc program.
- After the setup program exits you must perform a HotSync operation with your PDA in its cradle.
Installation from CD-ROM on Apple Macintosh
For Apple Macintosh users the EnteralCalc files may be selected from the CD-ROM and queued for HotSync to your PDA.
- Review the systems requirements and ensure that your systems meet or exceed the minimums detailed there.
- Place your PDA in the HotSync cradle.
- Insert the EnteralCalc CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your Macintosh.
- Start the Palm Desktop software and open the install tool.
- Select the following files to queue for HotSync to your PDA:
EnteralCalc.prc - the main Palm program
FormDB.pdb - a default formula database to begin with
Printcap.pdb - the printer support database
ptDynlib.pdb - the printer control library
- Perform a HotSync operation with your PDA in its cradle.
